Climbing Bridges

I wanted to do something crazy. So I convinced my friend, Melissa, to climb the Sydney Harbour Bridge with me. We traveled to Sydney for a few days and on Wednesday 24 September, we embarked on our journey to the top of the bridge.

It was not scary at all, at least I didn't think so. Melissa said that she wanted to wear an incontinence pad for fear of 'crapping' herself from being so high on the bridge. When we were directly above traffic, I said to Melissa, "look down, look down. It's awesome!" She was terrified and said "No way". She refused to look down. To see the traffic whiz by underneath was such a thrill. I loved it.

After we came down, Melissa said, "that was too easy, it should have been harder." Lol. I thought of it more as a nice relaxing stroll over the top of the bridge. It was lovely. The view was awesome. We couldn't have picked a better day for it. The day we arrived, it was wet, foggy, and miserable. The day we climbed, it was perfect! The sky was clear. It was sunny and we could see all over Sydney. It was wonderful!

We weren't allowed to take camera's because we were so high above traffic. We were, however, photographed by our group leader and were able to purchase photo's if we wished. These are the few that we got.

We did it. YAY!!!!!!!

An AWESOME climb!!! I recommend it to anyone, both young and old.
