Carnival of Flowers

Every September, Toowoomba puts on its annual carnival of flowers. The whole town comes alive with flowers. It is a beautiful time of year. These are a few blooms that I captured at the time.

Great photos. As a Queenslander I've always wanted to make the trip down to see this event ... but I haven't made it yet!! Will have to do it. I was impressed with the displays given the water restrictions I'm assuming have been in place down there recently.

Thankyou Bernie!

Yes, we certainly have had strict water restrictions and they have planted a lot less than previous years. But I think however that it has just made us look at gardening in a new light and we have not neglected our gardens. We have been forced to learn new ways of gardening and to become smarter with managing our resources. It has been a positive thing :-)
